Frequently asked questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Open a technical question to check quotation details, files, materials, samples, production, quality and delivery requirements.
What information is needed for a quotation?
Provide the product type, finished size, page count or structure, materials, colours, finishing, quantity, destination country and postal code, and timing requirements.
Can the size or structure be customised?
Yes. Provide dimensions, intended use, reference images or a dieline. Engineering feasibility is confirmed before quotation.
What minimum order quantities can be produced?
Quantity depends on the product and process. Tell us the target quantity and later demand so the project team can assess the right production plan.
Which binding methods are available for books?
Common options include saddle stitching, perfect binding, sewn binding, hardcover binding, board books and wire-o binding. The final method depends on the approved specification.
Which box structures are available?
Common structures include folding cartons, lid-and-base boxes, rigid boxes, drawer boxes, magnetic boxes and book-style boxes. A dieline or product dimensions is helpful.
How should paper or board be selected?
Explain the use, appearance, durability and budget priorities. Paper or material samples can be reviewed before final confirmation.
Which formats should print files use?
A print-ready PDF is preferred. Editable source files may also be required when changes or a dieline are needed.
How much bleed should files include?
Three millimetres is common, but special structures may differ. Use the template confirmed for the project.
Should files use CMYK or spot colours?
Use CMYK for process printing. Spot colours should state the confirmed Pantone reference, and colour expectations need confirmation before production.
How should fonts and images be prepared?
Embed or outline fonts. Keep images high resolution at finished size, and keep important content away from trim and fold lines.
Are files checked before printing?
Prepress checks can identify common production risks, but the customer remains responsible for final text, layout and approved content.
Which samples are available?
Depending on the project, material samples, digital proofs, white dummies, structural samples or press samples can be provided.
Will production start without an approved sample?
Production should begin only after the specifications, files and agreed proofs or samples have been formally approved.
How long do sampling and production take?
Timing depends on specifications, quantity, processes and capacity. The project team must confirm it; the Help Center cannot promise a specific date.
How is print quality controlled?
Checks typically cover files, materials, colour, printing, surface finishing, binding or assembly, packaging and pre-shipment condition.
How are finished products packed?
Packing is selected for product protection and export transport. Inner packing, carton limits, labels and pallet requirements must be confirmed before production.
What is needed to estimate freight?
Provide the country, city, postal code, trade terms and timing requirements. Final freight follows the current logistics quotation.
Does a quotation include duties and import taxes?
This depends on agreed trade terms and destination. Duties, taxes and customs responsibilities must be confirmed in the formal quotation.
What if goods arrive damaged or do not match the order?
Keep the cartons and products, photograph the issue, labels and affected quantity, then create an after-sales service request promptly.
What if quotation information or files cannot be uploaded?
Keep the completed quotation details and original files. Check your connection, file format and file size; if submission still fails, email the product name, size, quantity, material, finishing, delivery location and contact details to info@goldprinting.cc with the subject “Quotation information follow-up”.
Will the Help Center disclose costs, suppliers or other customers' data?
No. Internal costs, margins, formulae, suppliers, factory prices and other customers' information are protected and handled only by authorised personnel.
Can customer service directly change the website or an order?
You can submit a suggestion or change request, but pages, prices, orders and permissions are not changed without authorised human approval.
