PRINT & Post became the first Bruneian entity to get certification for the globally recognised Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS), a payment card industry security requirement for entities that process, transmit or store cardholder data.
US-based ControlCase, a global provider of software, professional services, managed services and hosted solutions, assessed and certified Print & Post as PCI-DSS compliant, particularly its Mailstream services, ControlCase said in a statement.
Print & Post is a joint venture between Brunei is Postal Service Department and Juramas Technologies, a Bruneian ICT firm. It provides a bulk-printing, marketing and mailing services for telcos, banks, other large organisations and government ministries.
“Being the first company in Brunei to achieve PCI-DSS certification ensures data security for its customers which include local water services, electrical services and various banks,” the statement said.
The standard has been endorsed by all the major card brands Visa Inc, MasterCard Worldwide, Discover Network, American Express and JCB to safeguard customer information and mandates that merchants and service providers meet and maintain stringent security standards when they process and transmit cardholder data.(Gold Printing) |
